Markeith Wiley and The New Animals at 10d

Formerly in residence at 10d, Markeith Wiley shares about his two year experience in the space:

From 2011 to 2013, The New Animals produced two evening length works, held an audition, cooked several dinners and became a family all under the roof of 10d.

The space was ours every Tuesday from 6pm to 10pm. I would use the first hour to center myself. Just laying in the space alone was sometimes enough and other times writing was valuable. 10d is an easy place to have very productive rehearsals because of how much it can feel like a home. How many can say that about a rehearsal space? It feels like home.
