KT Niehoff February 19, 2014 Resident Artist Peggy Piacenza KT Niehoff February 19, 2014 On creating at 10 degrees: Rehearsing at 10 degrees has been a sanctuary for entertaining endless thoughts surrounding my creative process. It’s been a place to dream, reflect, imagine, and above all, rehearse without the pressure to produce. I specifically have been working on a solo, a project that has been in the works for several years. 10 degrees has given me the freedom and time to engage the meaning of being an artist, all while looking at questions that are at the core of my artistic process, such as, what is important about any moment, feeling, and experience? I have been delighted, challenged, mystified, frustrated, driven by doubt and inspiration during my time at 10 degrees. Stay tuned for when and where I will perform my upcoming solo “If I could Sing.” In the meantime, I will continue to revel in the preciousness of a space that sparks ideas to be brought to life.
